WHAT DO WE MEAN BY ECOSOCIAL TRANSITION?
The dynamics, consumption patterns, and values promoted by the current socioeconomic system are unsustainable on a planet with finite resources. This becomes evident through systemic, recurring, and interconnected crises that deepen inequality and contribute to the degradation of ecosystems.
We must formulate alternatives to drive a just ecological transition — one that involves broad public participation and reaches all aspects of our everyday infrastructures. In this context, the ecosocial transition stands out as an urgent and vital challenge, and educational centres play a key role in developing transformative actions and imagining alternative futures.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
We use various forms of artistic expression as pedagogical tools that allow us to approach content in an experiential way, creating spaces of trust and mutual support.
This project, led by Arqbag, is carried out in collaboration with the association El Cabdell, which develops critical and emancipatory educational practices framed within the struggle for environmental and social justice, through theatre, role-playing, writing, and visual arts.
